It’s been real!

This is it, everyone. I’m going to be closing the lid on this blog, so that I may start a new one. I haven’t yet started it, but the new blog will be a way for me to let my family and friends know how I’m getting along in my next adventure, the Peace Corps.

Skywalker

Including today, I have 11 days left until I depart for Indonesia. I hope to keep you all informed as much as I can. I understand that Indonesia is more connected than some other Peace Corps posts around the globe, but time will tell. In the meanwhile, I’ve got many things to take care of before I leave, so I will be signing off for a while.

I hope this finds you well and I am looking forward to giving you the new website soon.

Wish me luck!

  1. Joe!!!
I was thinking about you today and tried to find you on facebook- but looks like you deleted yourself again!? Anyway I am so glad I checked out your blog as I had no idea about you going to Alaska and now joining Peace Corps and leaving so soon!

And Indonesia!!!! Congratulations that sounds so exciting. I have only been to Bali, but heard great things about Indo. Lots of Japanese businessmen get sent there! Private Eigo lessons on the side perhaps? haha

Yosh and I are still enjoying Melbourne, though I am still bumming around unemployed, oooops! Have to reapply for 2nd year visa next month- if all goes well we will be here one more year. But I really have to find a job. (‘Working Holiday Visa’ scares off most companies, its frustrating!)

Talked to Nathan the other day on the phone (He is still in Cairns)- he seems in midst of deciding what to do next or I should say where to go next. Seems like we are all a bit unsettled and can’t keep our feet still after Japan.

Take care of yourself and stay in touch! My email is below! I can’t wait to hear what you get up to. And if you get time off, tickets to Japan aren’t that expensive from Indonesia…right?! Or Australia!

  2. Hope to see you before you leave and hope to keep up with you while you’re overseas.

    Keep us posted!

    • Tim, I wanted to go last nite, but was feeling a little off. I’ll do my best to make it out next time and I will definitely be keeping up. Until next week….

  3. Thanks for up-dating your blog. It sounds like week two and three were just as exciting as week one. Can’t wait to hear about your next adventure in Indonesia. I’m sure there will some great stuff to write home about. Stay safe………….
