‘Mr. Rush’

This past week was a blur, but it was a great blur, as my boy,”Rush,” as he was known here, made the not so short 8,500 mile trek from Sacramento, California to pay a visit. Over the course of the week, we, or shall I say I, had a number of humbling mishaps/misfortunes that made for some very frustrating and, in retrospect, comical moments, none of which I will burden you with here.

I will say that Russ’s visit sparked a lot of interesting thoughts and feelings about my Peace Corps experience and about where I imagine I’ll be when it ends. More than anything though, it was comforting having an old friend here. And with that, I’d like to thank you, ‘Mr. Rush’ for all the laughs and for not leaving your sorry friend hanging dry when the chips were down

Until next time, amigo!

*Russ, if you get this, that Soy Joy turned out to be my dinner.
